Maintain your lingerie
At Christmas, I have been given beautiful underwear. This lingerie looks great, is made from a very delicate fabric. Even before the first time wearing it I was thinking what I could do not to ruin the beautiful lingerie.
Yes, I know it sounds childish, but I’m worried about my clothes that I like very much. I simply wish that lingerie and clothes that I like stays sharp and colourful. That’s only natural. I have taken with caution my new Christmas lingerie. It feels great on my skin.
Now the lingerie has to be laundered. And now I am again faced with the problem. I worry that cleaning them might damage the underwear. Silly, I know. I’ve read several times the note with the washing instructions. I already know it by heart. It says that I should wash the bra and the shirt by hand as well as I wash the panties gently at 30° C in the machine.
A friend, who knows my worries, because I always tell her everything, gives me always some good advice. She says that she always washes her lingerie in the washing machine in overdrive at 30° C and in a laundry bag. Apparently nothing happens when she is doing the laundry like that. And if I’m honest, then I believe her. Water at 30° C is colder than the human body, which indeed is well known 36° C.
But the temperature is not the only thing. What discourages me is the friction and skidding, so all that strain on the fabric. I am afraid to leave my beautiful new underwear soon look very old. My goal is precisely to avoid this. How can I achieve this?
